OT - Found inside HMV machine - what is it?
I found this inside a HMV parts machine. Any idea what it is? Does anyone need it? Thanks, Jerry

Jerry,
It is from an electric lamp.
The shade sits on it and its fastened by the finial. You can adjust the height of the shade with this type of extender.
James.

Jerry,
I am not sure, but it looks like a part to a lamp - The upper most part with the finial that holds the shade. I have seen lamps that the height of the finial is adjustable for either different sized shades or to position the shade where you want it.
Good luck finding it a nice home

I know people find lots of odds and ends in old machines......
and that's definitely an end.

Some of my 420-friendly friends would call that a "one-hitter." If that's not actually what it was for....they'd make it into one.
