Which Sonora model is this?

Post by David Spanovich »

It looks like it may be the "Symphony," which was Sonora's answer to the Orthophonic Credenza, but I'm not sure. (If it IS the Symphony, someone should grab it since that's not exactly a common model.)

Yes, that is a "Symphony" model. I have one of these and the sound is very full and rich. It is a very heavy machine made of walnut with burled walnut highlighted areas on the front. That is a good price.

Many thanks for confirming this. Wish it wasn't 3,500 miles (driving distance) away from me.

Your Symphony would be a neat featured item for this site.

I saw a couple of photo's posted on Mooperator's board, archived in this thread, one showing the double horn -- http://victrolagramophones.proboards.co ... &thread=73 (I can't call up the main site. For whatever reason, it always sends me to the Phonograph Web Ring page. )

I have run into that very bad behavior on a number of sites that link to the Web Ring. Really annoying that the Ring does that.
