$2800 for a Phonograph Cylinder

When I recently introduced my Lambert Red Imperial 6-inch cylinder (http://forum.talkingmachine.info/viewto ... 6501&hilit) I could not foresee what some people are willing to pay for one of it. Almost $2800 ! This is just crazy.

I think actually these days, that the general public are paying more than collectors, which will eventually left behind. I know a few who sold some records I made a few years later, and they brought about $400.00! I could never get that myself but others can. As far as I know, a 6" colored Lambert is pretty rare, and should bring a high premium.
