Just noticed this on Craigslist:
http://providence.craigslist.org/msg/2924176078.html
It may need a reproducer; grille's missing, and some veneer issues (plus the finish may not be great). Motor's running, but will probably need a thorough overhaul.
Think $175 is too high? I'm considering looking at it....
On the other hand, there's a fairly good A-80 - or is it a B-80? in MA for $250:

Any advice?

Personally I think the Chippendale is overpriced in that shape. It'a also missing the mute ball and the wooden control handle. I'd buy the mechanics for maybe $50 or $75 and scrap the cabinet. Most of the stuff on the table has nothing to do with that machine, so you may or may not care about it.Lucius1958 wrote:Just noticed this on Craigslist:

OTOH, the B-80 looks like a nice machine. I had one years ago and enjoyed it, but now I use my C-150 all the time. As I'm sure you know, the B-80 is belt driven and is generally considered to be underpowered. If you're looking to buy just one Diamond Disc to have as your primary machine, I wouldn't recommend a B-80, but if you just want a nice B-80, this one is probably worth looking into.

Thanks! I was sort of leaning toward the B-80: perhaps it might do to restore the cabinet, and keep it until a better machine comes along...

I vote the B-80, You just don't see too many, though the C-19 is restorable, It will need an investment in some parts.
