You Never Know What Comes On CL

Post by gramophone78 »

This was listed (for a very short time) on CL here last week. Under $150.00. Only the horn was missing. Lucky I had a spare small Vic oak horn and completes the machine. You just never know what will turn up.I told the seller he could get far more but, he just wanted it to go to a collector. I was surprised to see the needle chuck was untouched... :o. It was in a trunk that came from his late Uncle and was still wrapped in 1960 newspaper.
We all get lucky once in a while..... ;).

Congratulations Wayne. It's in fantastic condition & looks awesome with the oak horn. Good to see it went to someone who'll appreciate it. Seems a few pseudo collectors here would have started this thread in the yankee trader section ;)
Enjoy!

Thanks George & Shane. I too was surprised to see how well it was preserved. Unfortunately, this will be a keeper and allows me to get the horn off the floor. I know my Wife likes that idea...    . Don't tell her but, I do too.... ;).
