O/T Need tips on record values

Post by tonystardis »

Just bought a wall of records, around 3000 or so.Still need to move them here and sort but anyone know of any good guides online or book form or general tips on what to look for as far as labels, bands and such. My knowlege is limited,I can pretty much identify era and I do know to keep an eye out for Edison needle cut records, Monarchs and such but thats about it.Its a huge assortment that was someones personal collection that they played, didnt really look well but the few I pulled I saw one sided records to 40's stuff and I do think lots of it will be of the earlier variety. There is also a lot of 12"classical albums from the 40's which I am giving to a friend just to save space. Any ideas will be greatly appreciated!

Try popsike.com

It gives you the results of previous online auctions, the values records went for and the date sold
