No. 1 from the new mold New Borri recording Blank.
The first new mold for casting blanks is done, I will show you the first respectable record from it, so here it is. Right now the mold does not have the spiral core, like I want but that will be added soon. I must say though for just starting experimenting with it, and I found it easy to get production quality blanks already, that surpass anything I have made, or dreamed of in the past. They come out of the mold much thicker than Ediphone blanks and to my surprise it really does not take long to shave them to the maximum usable phonograph size, so I will be able to make 20th century blanks, and Ediphone blanks too! The surplus wax is easily saved and set aside to be recycled. I should have quite a few examples at Union. The last three weeks the wax was perfected and now the form. I will be keeping everyone updated on progress this week, as I probably will not be sleeping at all. There are none of these new ones yet out in circulation The first ones will be at Union. Of course there will be no pictures shared of the new molds. molding techniques, or formulation. I had to work very hard to make this come to fruition.

Will have some to sell. By the way, just got the spiral core done, and it works great, so from now on, all have spiral core!!! no machine shop knew how to do it, so I did it the 19th century way, I filed it by hand, and It is amazing, will post pictures this evening of blanks with spiral core.

New Spiral Core.
Here is the spiral core blank I have been working on for the past year, it has come to fruition for all to see. No more pinholes anymore, the new process is awesome!!! will be posting a video of this record used on an Ediphone, Of course when I sell them they will be the maximum thickness to work on a regular phonograph.

This is the overall look of the new blank. What do you think, they are for mastering purposes.

I am posting a few more photos to peak your interest. These are made to the Edison blank formulation, and use as period versions of the ingredients as I can get.
