Hi,
Does anyone know which brand or manufacturer is a cylinder record blank that comes in a grey box with brown unlabeld lid and bottom - on the box there is no information about the brand, it just has "BLANK CYLINDER" written on it and some very simple vertical ornaments. Someone said to me it is an Edison blank, probably from England. I've also seen this on the web with a lid where a label says "Best French Blank" without any further information (see here: http://www.phonorama.fr/cylindres-edison.html)
Thanks, Helmut
Cylinder blank - which brand?

That's almost certainly an Edison Bell. At the one on the website I can read "Edison Bell * Edisonia * London Record" underneath the Best French Blank label.

You're absolutely right - I didn't notice this. The lid to my blank doesn't have any label or embossing, but it is a good evidence that this type of blanks was probably made by Edison Bell - thanks!

That is pretty neat box, it is nice to see a UK original blank box. How about the blank itself? I am really interested. I would like to see different brands of blanks from different countries. Ill have to post my unusual blank box for E.H. Tower, "The Edison Man"
