a hopefuly future project, but how much would it cost to do?

there is something i want to look into having a go at involving phonograph reproducers, i want to try and make a reproducer with a huge diaphragm and experiment with size and material of the diaphragm however to do this it would involve butchering a model C reproducer which i do not want to do, so i was wondering how much a model c reproducer would cost complete but with a snapped/damaged neck or no neck at all, i would then mount a wooden assembly above the damaged reproducer to hold a large diaphragm and then make my own neck ontop of that wooden assembly and also make my own stylus linkage from the stylus bar to the new diaphragm
if i ever get such a thing i will keep you updated if i do it
