I put a bid in on it. I wonder how these compare value-wise to the Victor and other reproducers. Cheney is an off-brand, but they were always advertised as superior in terms of sound reproduction.

I don't own a Cheney yet, but I will one day. These will display well until then.

I don't know how these compare to other brands, I didn't put new gaskets into them. According to Tim Gracyk's website the diaphragm is made from the same stuff as dental cement and painted to match the plating color.

Cheney diaphragms are made from Gutta Percha which is a tree resin.
