Tinfoil demo

Post by TinfoilPhono »

Being well-known as an obsessive tinfoil addict, I decided to put together a quick video on Fondain tinfoils today. For those who want to skip the history lesson and go straight to the demonstration, that starts about 6 minutes in: http://youtu.be/GIU3ZEFrpag.

Great job, Rene! I'm particularly attracted to the 1879 model, but that's probably just the purist in me being attracted to black japan and gilt decoration. Your video is an outstanding example of what Youtube can be.

Thank you. I enjoyed the video and learned a lot.

Great historical introduction and very interesting presentation of not just one, but two(!) tinfoil phonographs.

Actually 3, counting the Ducretet in the last part before the demonstration. I perhaps should have singled that machine out a bit more, then again I think I ran this a bit too long as it is.

But thanks for the comments!

That was brilliant Rene. Now if I could also find just one of those really early electric fans!
