Help Needed To Identify An Adapter

I picked up an oak C-250 today and included with it was an adapter for playing laterally cut records. I have owned a few different adapters for my Diamond Disc machines that are commonly found but this is one that I haven't come across before. There isn't a maker's identification or any other markings for that matter. It's interesting in that there are more moveable joints on this adapter than I normally see on others. I'm not entirely sure of it's capabilities as I haven't tried it yet. But here are my thoughts. Where the adapter connects to a machine, there is a hinge about an inch from the opening. That small portion has a pin protruding from it the way the neck of a Diamond Disc reproducer does. So when the hinged portion is straightened, it can be attached to a Diamond Disc machine. If the hinged portion is folded down, it would then allow it to be connected to another machine of some sort. Here is a picture with the hinged portion folded away from the rest of the reproducer:

Also, the entire "head" of the adapter is able to swivel like that of a Pathé reproducer. The diaphragm is also interesting. It appears to be made of celluloid or something similar in nature and is very thick.

I will try to take better pictures tomorrow. Does anyone know who made this adapter? I'd love to know more about it and any information is appreciated as always.

Thanks for the help, Velecnik! I continued to look for others like ours for awhile since reading your post and haven't been able to find any. I know there were several companies that produced lateral adapters and I imagine many of them were short lived.

That's great you have the original box and instructions. It's always nice to have things complete the way they were sold originally. Thanks again for the help!
