*LOCATED* WTB: Brunswick Model #110 Ultona reproducer part

Post by Confettihead »

Hello,

I am new here and am currently restoring my second phonograph. I am in need of the round metal ring with the 4 screw holes that retains the mica and gasket. It is obviously the part that is in three pieces. Gravity got the best of this one  I would also consider an entire reproducer if one were available at a decent price. This is a project with very little budget that I am doing as a gift for my mother. I really appreciate any help you can offer me.

Thanks to Sean and George I received the parts I needed. I watched a utube video of a complete tear down and rebuild and decided to do the whole thing. I tackled the springs despite all of the warnings and it was a complete success. This thing sung tonight for the first time in over 40 years....not bad for a $25 investment! It's kinda of quiet. I think I need a true mica diaphragm instead of the metal one....perhaps you guys can tell me? Now to clean up and polish the wood.

Very nice indeed! Just curious: will the turntable start without assistance? I've always let it get itself up to speed before lowering the sound box.

What kind of 1918 Victrola critter do you have?

You do need a mica diaphragm to be authentic. Perhaps someone in this forum can recommend a dealer that sells the best replicas (correct thickness) for the Brunswick, although any mica diaphragm of the right diameter should work fairly well. Fortunately, the Brunswicks are relatively common machines and parts for them appear on eBay often.

It will start wihout assistance, I've just got a habit of giving it a nudge. Actually I learned that my Victrola is not a 1918, its a vv-240 in mahogany which i think is 1923.
