Craigslist Youngstown, OH

Post by m0xiemama »

I emailed this guy. It is a little out of my budget he is asking $800 but said he would be willing to go lower. I think he is a motivated seller.

The pictures suck but I think he was trying to tell me this is a VE-XVIII. So hard to tell with all that darkness.

If that's an XVIII, the price is a bargain as it is!

He said only 3500 were made. I really wish I could scoop it up.

There weren't that many of these made. He was probably referring to the spring motor XVIII. This one is electric and there were less than 1000 produced.

There is one of these available at the auction at Carlisle PA on the 18th, but I doubt it will go as low as that. The other victrola listed in Youngstown for $300 is described as "spider leg". Might be worth a trip.

I know this guy wants to sell it asap. He emailed me 4 times. I'd like to see someone on here get it so I can see better pictures.

He must not want to sell it too bad, I emailed him twice and left a couple messages and nothing. This is a side of Craigslist that is very frustrating to say the least, when someone has an item for sale and you get no response.

Wes,

I agree it is frustrating when they don't get back to you. I am not sure why. He has emailed me several times today. Maybe there is a delay with craigslist emails? I don't know but I do know it happens to me all the time.
