I'm ready to make the record holder base for these models. They will be cast from a nice original base and will be completely correct down to the logo of the original casting company on the bottom. But I need to know about how many to make so if everybody could let me know if you need any. They will be 48.00 plus 3.00 shipping.

Re: 9-55 10-50 10-51 10-70 Record Holder Base
Hi, could you put me down for one please (I may change this to two). With a decent recasting it'll mean I can ditch the nasty repro I have had up until now. Any idea of timescale?

Sounds interesting, what are these new cast parts made from?? And are they already painted black?

They will be made of brass. I will paint them and install them on one of my machines for fit and function.

Re: 9-55 10-50 10-51 10-70 Record Holder Base
Do you think this will solve the issue the "other" reproduction bases had with 12 inch 78s bumping against each other during the change cycle? The disc coming off the turntable on mine will bump into the stack as it goes into the drawer and I always suspected it was because the base was off somehow.
I'd be interested if this solves that problem!

Interesting, Sean, that you have the same problem I do with the 12-inch records bumping. I've fiddled with this over time and haven't gotten it right yet with the other casting. I've also had to shim up the front edge (facing the turntable) in order to get sufficient height for the loaded records.
I've placed my order for the new casting. If it's as nice as the size selector handle it should be a much better replacement!

Put me down for two. If you start to make good lift pads, let us know about them!

I'm sure glad you mentioned the 12" bump I had forgot about that.I just reworked my model and installed it on my 10-70 and no bump.I'm keeping my fingers crossed that the castings work as well.
