ID Help

Post by dutchman »

Found this (these) Columbia parts in my junk box which I'm cleaning out. The are does not fit all the way into the base, I went over both pieces with emery cloth but I'm not sure the tone arm is even supposed to fit in the base. At any rate the reproducer is in nice condition other than missing the thumb screw and the arm has a minoe ding at the end where it curves. I loosened the set screw holding the reproducer on and I can rotate the reproducer full circle. The base piece is interesting in that it has one machined hole on top and three on the bottom.

Can anyone provide some info on what these pieces belong too - thanks

These parts are from a Columbia Grafonola machine. The tonearm, elbow and reproducer are the same on most, the base differs from model to model. I could actually use all that right now, so if you want to sell them please let me know.

ALANG - sorry for the delay in responding. Had login problems on the forum. Let me check my 3 Columbia's, which I haven't seen probably for 20+ years (covered up), and make sure any of these machines have not fallen victim to intergranular corrison. I'll get back to you soon re getting rid of these parts. You can Email me at [email protected]. Cheers
