Here is an quick experiment, made a few years ago, trying to simulate the same result as two tonearms but with two computers. The time interval is reasonably short which results in a certain amount of "reverb"---another attempt involving a longer interval was not so convincing. Perhaps an even shorter interval would be beneficial ? All good fun......

sounds like he's singing in the alps! the Pathé macnines have a bit shorter interval than this with the Pathé machine it would sound like he's singing in the town square

Judging from appearances, I would guess that the larger of the two is not original, and possibly may have come from a slightly earlier machine...

i already explained that the other reproducer is in pieces due to pot metal i had to make due with what i had laying around
so you are right the bigger one is a earlyer type
