Funny how his story has now changed. He did not know that I could had been an unknowing potential customer, but by his actions I turned off to him and his auctions in a heartbeat. Ask him as to why he is charging over $500 and not actual shipping costs to ship the horn and see what he says.

Shipping is now changed to "ask for quote" and a disclaimer on shopping added to the listing. Earlier today it was about $610. I just received this message as a response to my inquiry on the high shipping cost:
fed ex ground100-200 depends where it goes....why do you think it is 600 are you crazy? you spend a lot of time looking at my listing sounds like a personal problem. your real special please don't bid on my items
Anyone want to bid on this...?

Wow! My point exactly! This guy is a nut case. Not very helpful when questions are asked and very quick to get defensive. David, PLEASE persue this and get eBay to make him have to honor your transaction. He needs to be taught a lesson. Being nice goes a long way. Being an *ss will get you nowhere.

The best way to treat this guy is to bid on all of his listings... Place $1,000 proxy bids on them and when you win, say you made a mistake and meant to bid $1.00, then withdraw your bid.

Is it coincidence that the sellers name is "cmoney"? He wants to "c" more "money"

I agree with others here. Dave you need to contact ebay and ask them to have him honor your BIN agreement or cancel his account. Ask them to look at his feedback and notice he's done it back to back so he has a history.

I would advise against that, unless you don't value your account standing. Withdrawing bids can negatively affect your account.

Darn thing sold for $710, with three new bidders coming in in the last four seconds. Plus $200 shipping. Since the guy does seem to actually have the horn, I'll bet he just may ship it this time at that price.

Yeah there's no doubt that the horn is well worth it, it's just a shame that this guy will benefit from the sale. Especially after screwing someone over in the process.
