Interesting... How did they go about sealing the tube from air-leakage from where the needle-bar emerges ?

Not sure how they sealed it and really can't get a good picture. Neat that it is a triangle shaped where you put the needle in

That's the DD version to play 78s, I have the same adapter for a Victor to play Pathés or DDs.

I wonder what they thought would be gained by putting the needle bar on the inside? (unless it was to circumvent someone else's patent)...

The triangular hole not only accommodates wooden but also centers round needles relative to the lever activating the diaphragm.
