As 'edisonclassm' wrote, it is a Claravox provided for the Bush & Lane company; when sold as an attachment, it would have the CLARAVOX name on top, as in the pictures here: http://forum.talkingmachine.info/viewto ... f=2&t=8389

Thank you, Wyatt's write-up is very informative! I find the "loaded" c-spring and stylus link setup fascinating! I'd love to have the opportunity to hear one of these reproducers, compared with various Edison Diamond Disc Reproducers.

I'm thinking that the loaded spring arrangement might account for the better bass extension that Wyatt mentions in his review.

I have a Vicsonia. It's not a real substitute. Edison disks are better served on an Edison machine.
