Ok, so has anyone ever considered laminating cylinder record slips, or other a paper items?

I have about 20 or so slips. Half of which are in awesome condition, but some have seen better days. All their life they have been repeatedly folded and unfolded within the box, and now I'm becoming worried that one of these days I'm going to find one of two of them in more than one or two pieces. Does anyone one know of any long term negative effects lamination could have on the slips? And do you think that would bring down the record's value if I ever tried to sell it? What are your thoughts?
Thanks,
Aaron
