Victor front mount horn elbows

Post by Phono-Phan »

Is there a way to know the approximate date or serial numbers when the early front mount Victors switched to the brass front mount horn elbows from the leather elbows?

An interesting project, but a difficult one.

One would have to determine whether a particular machine is in original condition: horns and elbows can easily be swapped.

Only if a machine is found with a certifiably original horn, known to have been with it ever since purchase, can one match the serial number with the elbow: I suspect machines of that caliber are few and far between. :geek:
