I don't think this machine was ever for sale. Rich was Johnny on the spot when it came up and I pm'd him soon after the listing.

Well, with all due respect to you and Rich, and in all fairness to the seller; he listed it at 9:16 AM, I saw it at 9:22, and the post had already had 5 views.

Rich posted here at 9:47. Whether or not there were several people that responded with PMs may never be known. I find it hard to believe that others didn't jump on this incredible deal.

Happens here all of the time. :)

Best,

Hi Fran. Thanks for the kind words. I agree you everything you say. I do accept that I may not have been the first to respond to the seller by a PM. If that is he case I congratulate the person who was first. I hope that when they get it that they will share more pictures of it as it is a GREAT machine, one many of us would like to have.

What I would like to see changed in the future is that when an item is posted for sale on the forum that instead of using PM's where nobody knows what has transpired, is that all replies to a listing be made on the forum so we can all see the current status of the listing. Right now some listings say first to PM me SOLD, while others say first to post Sold on the forum. I have also made this suggestion to Brandon. I would like to hear what other forum members think about this suggestion.

Being somewhat privacy minded, I would politely disagree with you here, Rich. I would personally rather deal with a seller - or buyer - privately than post details on the board. Besides, when something is sold, it's sold. Why does anyone else need to know who bought it? If the buyer chooses to step forward, this it his or her prerogative.

And no, sadly, I'm not the one who got this

I would agree with you 52089 for essentially the same reasons. In addition, if all the discussions are public, my wife could stumble across it and see where all our vacation money went!

I would like to thank everyone for thier comments. I have moved on. I'm sure there are many other things to be found in this wonderful world of collection. The seller has decided to keep the machine after all I'm told.
