I agree, I received my copy today. I sent Norman a message letting him know I received my copy. This is a classic! One of my favorites.

I've just gotten "HONEY" and love it. You won't be disappointed. How did I miss the introduction of "Some of these Days"? Norman, if you are reading, I'll be contacting you about that. For those of you who would like to hear some of these titles, I've a few up on my youTube channel. Sorry not "Honey" yet but here are some others. Enjoy! :D

They may be "4-minute" cylinders but you are short changed on actual length of music on them. Especially #1, 2, and 4. It comes to about 45-cents per second.

Well I suppose you can find most of them on CD or iTunes for a penny a minute but if you want original format, the latest of them were recorded to fit onto a 10 inch Edison needle cut record, not much room. When you find these late titles on Diamond Disc, they only utilize about ⅔ of the disc at best. If you were to find originals in playable condition on cylinder, I think 3 of the 4 actually made it to production on cylinder, they'd be MUCH more expensive and poorer quality. Depends on what you are looking for, I guess. :monkey:

This topic has been discussed before to some extent. Yes! they are not cheap, there is no doubt about it, but taking in consideration the cost to acquire a good copy of source material, the cost of having the mold made, cost of having copies made, boxes and labels and the time involved it does add up. For instance, if you could even find a copy of Honey on cylinder it would probably be in the hundreds to thousands....I have heard of the Kansas City Kitty original Blue Amberol going for around $1700.00. With Norman's cylinders, we can have great rare hits which play good, sound good at a fraction of the cost. I am happy that we have Norman doing this for us.

I know I keep talking about Some of the Days, but this song is Iconic, it is a song that Sophie can sing today and would be a hit. I think followed by her, I really like Vaughn Deleath, as a Edison artist. I have played my copy about 5 times a week since I received it.

Edisonia (edisonia.com) released a couple of Vaughn Deleath cylinders (I have both), they are fantastic.

As far as other wax amberols go, I would love to see more releases from the Wax Amberol series, in addition to later issues of 1926-1929.
