Edison horizontal carriage interchange
Will an Edison Home horizontal carriage fit on an Edison Triumph D2 phonograph? Thanks for any advice.

No it won't. The rods on the Home carriage is smaller than the rods on the Triumph. They are not interchangeable.

If you have both a standard Triumph carriage and Home horizontal carriage then you can unscrew the horizontal carriage from the carriage tube and secure it on the Triumph carriage tube.rlh30edison wrote:Will an Edison Home horizontal carriage fit on an Edison Triumph D2 phonograph? The Home has a one-piece carriage, and cannot be used on a Triumph. The Triumph has a two-piece carriage/sleeve assembly, but it cannot be used on the Home because the back rods are different sizes. See photos below (please excuse the quick, low-light shots):long_island_phono wrote:

That is only one version of the horizontal carriage for the Home, Georgephonogfp wrote: The Home has a one-piece carriage, and cannot be used on a Triumph. Wow Jake, that's great! Thanks for showing that variation - - I don't think I've ever noticed one before.
