Can anyone tell me if they have or have seen a Lakeside Rotometer with a red painted pointer...??.
I'm not sure if the red is a later addition or original. Appreciate any info.

Re: Lakeside Rotometer Question
I know Cliff did a video of one awhile back, and his didn't have the red pointer.

I hope he doesn't mind me sharing his video.

However, that Rotometer is different than mine and the pointer has a flat end.

Pardon my link messing up, but sorry it couldn't be more helpful. I think it's the only YouTube video of one which at least can show a similar design.

Re: Lakeside Rotometer Question
Yours definitely looks more jazzed up than mine, likely a later version. I think these are about the coolest of any phonograph accessory. Glad to know they at least made them long enough to have varieties. Thanks for sharing! Cliff
P.S. - My guess is that the red paint is original.

Re: Lakeside Rotometer Question
Is there any trace of markings on the "indicator" piece opposite the pointer?
It seems as if that would be a good place for a scale to match different speeds.

Re: Lakeside Rotometer Question
Bill, there is no sign of a scale. I would have thought so too....just like the Phonometer (see attached).Lucius1958 wrote:Is there any trace of markings on the "indicator" piece opposite the pointer?

Cliff, I'm just glad you made a YouTube video in order for me to compare...
