I've only found 3 Americans "in the wild" and own about a dozen. I have well over 250 Fonotipias, the majority came from a 30,000 plus collection of discs I bought in Albany NY from the estate of a life long collector. I have found several locally, though, for example a few years ago I picked up an L-door XVI at auction which had an entire box full of them with it, which was a rather unexpected and pleasant surprise. There's a NYC area dealer who sets up at Wayne each time who always has a selection of these also, I suspect they're encountered more frequently in that area.

Yeah you've got me beat! I've never bought more than 1000 at a time, and am trying to reduce my total from 11,000. With that many to choose from, of course the strange and rare ones aren't so rare anymore...OrthoSean wrote:a 30,000 plus collection of discs I bought in Albany

I went and pulled the record out of the box. It is indeed a Pathé record. I thought it was 11" but measures 10.5". It also states to be played at 80rpm.alang wrote:Pathé had quite a number of odd sized records.bfinan11 wrote:I'm not sure I've ever seen an 11" record... you might find that the rarest, if not most interesting, of your lot!
