Victor Unlimited Lifetime Warranty

Post by Curt A »

Did you realize that your 100+ year old Victor machine carries a lifetime warranty?
Here is the information for sending your Victor or Berliner machine for free repairs...
http://www.victorrecords.com/service

LIMITED LIFETIME WARRANTY ON ALL VICTOR RECORD PLAYERS.

Victor takes pride in the American tradition of the record player, recording business, and especially in the work done at Victor's Camden, NJ plant between 1896 and January of 1961 (when the last Camden made turntable left the line). Way back when, the company offered a guarantee against parts breaking due to manufacturing flaw and Victor held to this promise. Today, Victor is the ONLY American company still granting limited lifetime warranty repairs to machines from over a century ago. Just as it used to be! You can bring your Victor machine (as well as Berliner and RCA-Victor machines) to our repair division in Camden County NJ (or send the unit postage paid) and we will replace any factory defected parts -- no matter their age -- at no cost.

Should a part have worn or become non-functional from standard or non standard use, abuse, movement, or act of god, we will work with every Victor owner to make sure their machine returns to working order at the lowest cost possible to you.

We like to think that in 2017 we still follow this credo:

"WE SEEK TO IMPROVE EVERYTHING WE DO EVERYDAY." -Eldridge R. Johnson

Co-Founder and President Victor Talking Machine Co. 1901-1927

While you are at it, stop by and pick up a brand new Victrola BT-1... It plays all your records and MP3s... It connects to all of your digital devices through BlueTooth...

Oh goodness. Are these the same people who've begun to repress modern music on the Victrola label? I think the discussion in the "ebay and Craigslist" section about a similar website is owned/run by the same people as this one. They seem like a very sad attempt to reincarnate the Victor Talking Machine Co. and make a quick dollar while doing it.

I think I'll send them my Victor 4 spring motor, my Columbia 4 spring motor, and they can do the electronic restoration on my Electrola.....since they can handle "everything no matter how old". If they claim to do repairs, I wonder who is doing them.

Since all repairs are free, why not send your lever wind Berliner to them...?

I wonder if they are trying to create a market for "authorized" reproduction parts?

Uh, that's warranty against "factory defects", not 100 years of wear and tear.

I wonder if the same could be said about Victor's later pot metal parts. I would think that's a factory problem.;)

"...limited lifetime warranty repairs...." Lots of wiggle room there. Mainly, whose lifetime?

As for the new turntable, at the low, low bargain price ($150, reduced from $199.99  ), you'd think they could put the Victrola decal on right-side-up!

"Oh, but I usually turn the speaker to the wall when I play records."
