As Count Dracula said about Carfax Abby, "I shall so very little repairing." The finish and the hardware looks excellent and is similar to the patina on my Victor M. Outside of utilizing the decals you included, George the only change will be an eventual upgrade to a spear-tip horn. It may be sometime before that happens. You never know when one of those will turn up. In the meantime, I will be enjoying Tina. Really looking forward to her arrival.gramophone-georg wrote:It's a good deal for me, too, actually, because I know she's going to a very good home. No "upcycling" or "repurposing" worries at all here. Whatever improvements that may be performed will be done very well, I think.Valecnik wrote:Helluva good deal for the buyer of "Tina". One of the things that makes her so special is her patina so I would encourage the new owner not to get crazy on that finish. I would not to anything more than a gentle cleaning with Kotton Klenser, Gojo or some thing similar. Safe travels Tina!

If you are hoping to buy a spear-tip horn, I might be able help you raise the funds towards the purchase of one. I prefer the black petal horn, but don't own one that's good enough for my current Vic-V, a machine which had a perfect original finish buried under false mahoganizing circa 1910. My machine wants a good, but not newly painted petal horn, and since those do not grow on trees I am on the lookout for one.Joe Busam wrote:As Count Dracula said about Carfax Abby, "I shall so very little repairing." Thanks! I'll definitely keep you in mind. Not ready to part with the flower horn until I can locate a spear tip. Hopefully it won't be forever. Stay tuned.
