I agree you should go for whatever it takes to restore it. OK, if you put more into what the machine is worth, that's worth it. Look at it a a labor of love, and you will have the satisfaction of bringing this machine from the dead. To me, this hobby is not about dollars and cents. It's restoring these machines back to their former glory. With your skills, I'm sure it will be a challenging and rewarding project. Good luck.

Thank you for the kind words of support. The seller turned down my first offer. I will wait a while before making another. He may still be hoping to get the $1200.00, which I cannot justify without having the motor apart.

I doubt if the seller will get $1200.00 for it. But keep trying, and be persistent.You just may get it.

I was able to reach an agreement with the seller, so now the fun begins. I will post before and after pictures, but it will not be a quick restoration. I believe that the traveling arm is supposed to be like the one on a Victor B. I will have to do some more research before I begin.
