They produced an internal horn machine early and thereby pushed the fact that they sold an internal horn machine cheaper than the Berliner Gram-0-Phone Co's Victrola. I don't know why Berliner didn't go after them but they seemed somehow to escape prosecution.

That Polk-Phone is a surprise to me- the only Polk machines I've ever seen have been suitcase portables.
