Seems to me you've made a very fair effort to find the machine a home, but if you're up to trying one more angle might I offer a suggestion? I've had pretty good luck selling machines on Craigslist; the audience there tends to be more "oh, neat, an old phonograph" than "Oh, yuck, that's the wrong reproducer." You might or might not get more $$$ out of it by parting it out, but on the other hand parting it, even if successful, will mean the hassle of packing and shipping lots of boxes, and inevitably it will leave you with a residual of bits and pieces you can't sell--and the cabinet, the part that takes up your "don't have enough of it" space, is very likely to fall into that category. If you can sell it in one piece, you get rid of it in one piece, if you see what I mean.

It's a real pity! But this is the worst month, everybody must be on holiday, none at the forum! If you could wait only two weeks more... I bet someone would answer in early September... You could still get the 200 bucks and save the machine. At least someone with storage space should get it! Someone in Toronto, Chicago or in the East coast...
Hope you can sell it complete soon. It would be a very nice starter for a beginner.
Pity i live in Spain, and already have a dozen machines plus three electrical record players, together with 5,000 78s in our flat. If I'd go for it , the shipping costs would be a nightmare, and my wife would put me at the house door!

I'll second CL. I tried for weeks to sell a Victrola Credenza, listed it on CL figuring what- the- hell, and actually sold it in two days with no haggling.
