You're correct Kevin. Or when dropping the reproducer down for play, it contacts the groove in an already forward (toward the spindle) position, and the groove of the record - if it's a loooong recording - can advance the stylus (and thus the weight which pivots) a bit faster than the horn progresses over the course of playing the record, causing the limit pin to contact the limit loop.52089 wrote:IIRC, when the limit pin is catching up to the loop, it's not usually a reproducer problem, it's a horn problem.
