Very pretty cat--I have a real soft spot for the black ones, as you can probably tell from my immediately prior post.alang wrote:Finally photographed one of my cats - Lucy - with a phonograph. He has the look of an old soul. It’s never easy and I feel for your loss. They really are our best friends. My wife and I foster and currently have three permanent occupants, (all rescues and two are failed fosters). They never completely leave your side.Mormon S wrote:Last year I lost my best friend Pisco. We grew up together, and up till that point I had never lived without him, we are roughly the same age. Thanks. I like your cat as well, especially since you managed to get him into the horn. Funny that yours is called Lucifer, our cat's name Lucy is also short for Luciferdrh wrote:Very pretty cat--I have a real soft spot for the black ones, as you can probably tell from my immediately prior post.alang wrote:Finally photographed one of my cats - Lucy - with a phonograph. Re: OT: MY REAL LIFE NIPPER HAS LEFT ME
I am deeply sorry for your loss. I dealt with this back in 2016, my Buddy was a boxer, he was no Nipper, but he loved records and music. Many times he would love to lay in front of the Victrola and listen to records. I would go through records and pick out songs to listen to. He never bothered the records, he would look and knew they were special. I get a laugh back in 2009, I said Buddy, where is the music?, and he ran, stood up and put his legs around the Victrola. They are smart and a important part of our lives.
Again, I am sorry for your loss.

Mike
Sorry for your loss.
Our Riley is now 11 and is suffering from arthritis in his hips. As a big dog he has always struggled with getting up in the mornings but as long as the pain meds work his front end thinks he is a teenager and the back end slowly follows. I do not look forward to the day he will not be around anymore.
All the best and be safe

Thank you to everyone for the pictures of their pets and machines. There certainly are some nice looking ones (pets and machines)
Seems I'm not alone when it comes to the loss of a fur buddy. I remember years ago when someone came to my house that was buying a Victor R from me. He said "I knew you had to be serious about Victor's when I saw a real life Nipper look alike".
Stay safe everyone.
Mike

So sorry to hear this Mike, my sincere condolences. I was lucky enough to meet Oreo briefly when I first met you.
My family and I will be adopting a new dog in a few months. I'll try to post a pic once she arrives.
