My edison home would look really sharp on top of it.... but again that marble top isn't original! Do you think it could be removed and still save the top of the cabinet?
What would be a reasonable offer to make the guy?

Jerry is correct, there is no way to tell from the picture if it is an oak or mahogany cabinet. I believe the Mahogany cabinets to be scarcer of the two. Besides making the shelves, the wire supports, cylinder pegs, you would also have to reproduce the opening mechanism for the doors . That is the harder part of this restoration. I just finished restoring a Mahogany Full Barrel. it was also missing the shelves, wire supports, pegs and opening mech. Luckily I had another full barrel to use as a pattern for all of the pieces. I have reproduced the cardboard pegs exactly as were in all Herzog cabinets, where the black paper is applied over both the cardboard peg and the cap. Time consuming, but very authentic. I tried to find some pictures of the cabinet. Its a herzog full barrel cabinet? And if this is the same cabinet, those are the shelves I will need to make?
how would I make the cylinder holders?
