Even before the pandemic, our customs were known to be so slow they couldn't even catch a cold. Two days longer it would have been 7 weeks.

On the other hand, DHL has canceled their commodity mail shipping method, so instead of about $10 I would now have to charge $60 to ship the same item to the US, not worth the hassle.
Well for similar reasons, but mostly because of the cost, I no longer buy records or anything else out of the UK. There was a time a few years ago I could get things cheaply and quickly from the UK. Things aren't too slow now, but it costs twice the value of most records to ship them. It is really changing things. I just stick to the US now.

Back to the original topic though, I get records vial media mail as fast as they come by priority mail. And, I have not had any delayed shipments for quite a long time. I did have one of those it went all over the place packages, but it was a couple of years ago but I got it.

Transatlantic shipping is terrible right now. Even within Europe it's pretty bad.

I recently mailed a small package from Prague to Madrid. It arrived safely after 17 days.

Same day I mailed a package from Prague to Florida. The package has not left Europe yet. Czech post says expect at least 30 days for shipments to the US.

My mother mailed me a small package from Minnesota over two months ago now. It has yet to arrive.

Right now I have 7 records "on the way", all of them way overdo. One was mailed on May 5. They'll get here eventually, and I'm sure yours will too. Just how things are going right now.

Yesterday I called the Post office in Oxford. My package was found on a table. It was sent down to Binghamton, then sent to Syracuse. I'll be getting it soon.edisonplayer.
