Just for some clarity, that's not really the "correct" style of bulb is it? Shouldn't it be more spherical than tubular? Not trying to be a stickler, just wanting to understand. :?

The few Ive seen had the tubular bulb. I did see one with a sphere shape. Not sure which one originally came with the phonograph.
I have not failed. I've just found 10,000 ways that won't work.
