I do agree with Brian about posting pictures, particularly when it comes to ebay & craigslist links, because there's nothing worse than reading a thread a couple months later to find a string of dead links, but I also agree with you guys when it comes to posting other peoples images when it could be taken out of context in relation to the threads title or subject of conversation.
Hopefully my comment about the complete horn pictured would make it clear that it's a pretty desirable item as far as radio horn speaker go though.

I guess that's the trouble with these kinds of threads. When you start making fun of other peoples spelling mistakes or uneducated descriptions etc, you're bound to p*$$ someone off, particularly if you label them as fraudulant or bogus when in the case of this particular ebay auction it's probably more a case of mistaken identity.
To me, a truly "bogus" listing would be one that offers an item for sale that the seller does not own, but they have used pictures found on the web to make the sale seem legitamate, or when an "educated" seller deliberately attempts to mislead by making up facts or hiding damage etc in their photos.

You are absolutely right Shane, my original choice of words and the context of my post
was inappropriate. My ultimate intention was to highlight either erroneous or deliberately misleading listings. Of course one can never be sure of the intentions of the seller so its reckless to use global labels and I should have better thought out my wording.

I don't see what all of the fuss was about in the first place. The seller stated that he didn't really know what it was and that anyone interested should study the pictures, which are excellent by Ebay standards.

I agree. This seems like nothing more than a case of carelessness or ignorance. The fraudulent listings usually come across more as someone trying to pull the wool over a prospective buyer's eyes.
