I wonder why the 'id' ivorine is different to the metal one I have seen on others - I thought this would have been standard ?

Also, what is the 'serial number' ?

Also, why doesn't the id 'tag' have the letter 'W' like epigramophone's has ?

I don't know much about these, but I'd say the serial number is 434485

Sorry Jerry, I mean't what does the number represent ?

For example, it can't mean that this was the 434,485 th India teak HMV 102 to be produced / made can it ? Like they made nearly half a million of them in India ?

Record storage tray missing. Turntable incorrectly recovered in green. Carrying handle needs replacing.
Despite these failings it will probably still make more than I paid for mine.

Having checked on the internet I think it is possible perhaps that the apparent original seller (LC Saha Ltd) still exists to this day and is now a grocery shop.

I love the (huge) LC Saha trademark logo !

This one does have a lot of potentially amazing provenance though and of course the seller is posting it - a miracle in itself !
