Are we decided if its definitely a "Junior"?

It is odd that the bell is not completely round, as the Expert horn normally has a metal ring at the rim that keeps the round shape.

Is it possible that the horn has been "trimmed", thereby removing the reinforcing ring and making its current size a mystery?

Maybe it will sell quite cheaply as there may not be an EMG soundbox ? Does it have a droopy horn / horn wilt ?

It is a nice EMGinn Expert Junior. If you don't have one yet, you should get it.

No, it is not trimmed. I have a Senior and the end of the horn opening has the same figure.

It is a nice EMGinn Expert Junior. If you don't have one yet, you should get it.

I suspect that the horn rim has been damaged, and that someone removed the damaged area by shortening the bell rather than attempting a repair. Reinstating the missing rim section would be difficult but not impossible.

The case is the same design as an Expert Minor that I had, except mine was in mahogany. I'm increasingly inclined to believe it's a Minor.

It's an Expert Minor, definitely not a Junior. The tonearm base being in the right hand rear corner confirms that. (Junior = middle of the right hand side; Senior = front right hand corner.) 18" final diameter horn.

I agree with Garret. It is Minor. The horn is too small for Junior.

That's quite perceptive, Andy! The tonearm positions differ, as I checked both Junior and Senior I have. I am still puzzled about the horn, that seems as large as the Junior's, but it could be due to the perspective of the photos. Or, as Roger speculated, it could be a cut out Junior horn.

I agree with you, Carlos. It's the perspective of the photos that I struggle with. In some photos the horn looks much bigger than others. I originally thought it was a Minor due to the tone-arm position and the picture looking straight on into the bell but when I looked at the pictures showing the horn from the side, it looks much bigger than the only Minor I've ever seen - the one currently in the custody of the Midlands Group of CLPGS.
