Re: WANTED: Victor schoolhouse horn

Post by chrisg »

I had a victor III that had an adapter the allowed the schoolhouse horn to fit into the regular v-3 elbow.
Cone shaped tube with the same taper , just longer than the schoolhouse elbow end. Slot cut into it on larger end of taper tube for the rivet on the schoolhouse horn and a rivet on the smaller end that fits into the regular elbows slot. See drawing/ picture

Does anyone know of a Victor elbow that will modify a Schoolhouse
horn for use on Victor III, IV, V etc??

Thx

Hi Grant

I never imagined the School house horn adapter would be a thing of beauty.
I happen to have a mahogany School house Victor horn which is in mint
condition and quite unusual. I was trying to find a way to use it on something
other than a School House machine.

Thanks for speaking to my thread. Harry

I've never heard of a mahogany School Model Victor. I'd love to see a photo. Is it possible that your mahogany horn was made for a very late mahogany Victor IV or V?
