Hello to all.
I am new to this forum. This is a bit of an id mystery. I have an upright phonograph that I acquired in the late 1960’s. It was in the Hudson Valley region of New York.
The label on the lid says “Deluxe the phonograph Supreme”.The mica was cracked and I replaced the original diaphragm with a Victor Exhibition.
I didn’t save the original diaphragm.
The cabinet had been painted so I stripped and refinished it in the early 2000’s.
When I removed the lid the other side had a decal that was painted over but appears to say Sonora.
There is no other identification anywhere. The motor has no id on it.
I have cleaned the motor and looked everywhere for a name plate.
I will attach pictures.
I will also be asking some questions about spring removal when I find the right topic heading.

I’m assuming due to a newspaper article I found, this machine dates to about 1920 and was sold in New Jersey.

This is an interesting mystery... The grille/cabinet would make me think it's a Sonora second style Nocturne (1920-1923) but the “Deluxe" decal is very odd. It looks period, making me think it's a re-branded Sonora? But Sonora did not license any of their phonographs to be re-branded.
I also found a local ad for a New Jersey piano shop advertising a “Deluxe" brand phonograph, but I can't say for certain if it's connected.
