I'm going to have to Google the Donald Duck bike because now you have me curious!
I think my brother prefers to do normal restorations as opposed to custom bicycles, too, but he had one friend ask for a custom bicycle for his wife once upon a time, and since then he's been busy doing customizations for mostly family and some friends.
In fact, last October my brother and husband did a vehicle swap. We had a 69 convertible Firebird 400 that has sat in our garage for the past 5 years. My brother was always salivating over it, so we finally decided to trade it with him for a vehicle we (well, technically, my husband) would actually allow out of the garage.
Anyway, long story short... when my brother trailered out our new vehicle from California, he also brought along a custom bicycle he built for my husband, (sort of as a consolation for letting his "baby" go). It was built on a 1969 Schwinn corvette frame (to stay consistent with the year of the Firebird), painted in the original Firebird's Verdoro green color, and the custom chain guard decal said "Schwinn Firebird." It was quite a touching gesture.
