Well, then... as MY wife would ask: "Do you NEED it?" Sometimes rolling pins and frying pans may be involved with that question over here...travisgreyfox wrote: Mon Dec 02, 2024 11:40 pmNo, but I wasn't totally in at $150 eithergramophone-georg wrote: Mon Dec 02, 2024 11:37 pmIs it worth walking away from over $15? Serious question because some folks fail to look at things from that angle.travisgreyfox wrote: Mon Dec 02, 2024 11:28 pm Lowest he would take is $175. Would you guys buy it? I would like at least one electric Victrola in my collection and this one isn't too big so I'm leaning toward yes, but then again maybe it would be better the wait for anther example.I'm indecisive with my money because it will be my Christmas present from the wife so if I do not get this I can get something else with the money.

Depends on if you want it, have space for it in the house, enjoy the bizarre wiring of 1920s radio amplifiers, and like the way it looks.
The machine itself isn't bad-looking. If you just wanted one electric Victrola this is probably a better choice than the record changer models.

Did you ever get it? If you are near to the DC area, I could help you look at the amp. I did one a couple of years ago and it wasn't too bad.
