What a wonderful update!! Very happy for you! Thanks also for letting us know how it turned out. Many times, advice is given, then we never hear back. It makes us all feel good to have your feedback.
As suggested above, a flexible piece of rubber hose is used to connect the horn. The suspension spring on the horn will need to be adjusted so that the horn does not weigh too heavily on the reproducer, (which will drag things down), and so that the horn doesn't hang so high that the reproducer carriage won't lower enough to play properly.

Outstanding-- So glad we were able to help you get it figured out-- There are lots of folks willing to share their experience here on the Forum. In my 48+ years of collecting, I've found that most "problems" with machines are usually fairly simple tasks of proper cleaning and making adjustments-- Enjoy your "D".. It looks really nice- Will you tackle that Suitcase Home next?
