Oh goodness that's fantastic. If you were near here I'd give you another upright for free so you could make it look pretty and keep it. That's awfully nice workmanship.
What country are you from? Your English is quite good. Your Forum name makes me wonder if you speak Arabic. If so you might enjoy the Moroccan Victrola that someone found some years ago. It had been fully customized in an arabesque style and was decorated with inlaid calligraphy--a real museum piece.

Thanks! I am from Poland, as for my English it's mostly side effect of spending a lot of time glued to computer screen during my childhood (one of few positive ones!). As for my name, it's just a nickname I though up when I was around 12 years old, sounded 'cool' to me.VanEpsFan1914 wrote: Tue May 13, 2025 7:22 pm Oh goodness that's fantastic. I have a couple old Polish records and would love to get a translation of a song I've never found anywhere else. Would it be all right if I was to send you a PM? It is a 1924 Victor record from their foreign series.

Sure! I will see what I can do. But I am afraid that best I can manage is literal translation. Translating poetry/songs so that they work in foreign language is much higher skill levelVanEpsFan1914 wrote: Wed May 14, 2025 12:05 pmPoland, wow!Ghaad wrote: Wed May 14, 2025 10:57 am
