Petmecky Needles????

I saw this in an old catalog for Victor dealers. Has anyone ever heard of a Petmecky needle? What do they look like?

Here's a pack I have.

For a while (it would take some research to determine when) they were highly favoured in The Gramophone editorials.

The images posted so far are of American made packets. Here is my tin showing "J.E.D.&S. LTD, LONDON."
On the edge of the lid "MADE IN ENGLAND" is clearly printed.

I think the packet I posted is British, although it states "United States patent allowed" and "All foreign patents allowed."
