Re: Nauck's auction

Now that the fall auction has been closed, does anyone want to share their results?

I ended up getting three that I’d really wanted: two late-20s Ellingtons (“Birmingham Breakdown”/“East St Louis Toodle-Oo” on Brunswick and “The Mooche” on Okeh) and Glen Gray’s 1937 version of “Smoke Rings” on Decca. Also won some Dorsey Brothers, Ethel Waters, and Fletcher Henderson records.

Lost on The Knickerbockers “Hong Kong Dream Girl,” which I’m guessing went for a fair amount.

I looked over the unsold lots file and saw that the recording of Marcus Garvey didn’t sell during the auction but the 1903 recording of Pope Leo XIII did!😳

Where did you find the unsold list for VRA 77? It doesn’t appear on their website.

The unsold list was sent in an email with my preliminary results.

I can see if I can send a copy, but it would already be obsolete.

I agree, it probably would be obsolete, to a degree. I would appreciate a copy nonetheless.
