Well, it sold for $600. I had been trying to contact the person selling it all day and when he replied to my email, he told me he had an offer of $500. He said if I would offer more it would "more than likely be mine". I told him I could do so and would like to come by for a look. I received another email a few hours later saying someone was on the way to look at it for $600 and he would let me know if they passed. Of course I knew it was as good as gone at that point and received a third email a bit later confirming it sold for $600.

Oh well...you win some, you lose some. The chase is part of the fun in this hobby in my opinion. Unfortunately I doubt I will be chasing another XVIII for such a good price anytime soon! : ). Hope someone from the board got it.

I think that guy was a little odd anyway. That sucks. I was hoping someone on here would get it.

Well Sonny(Jeff), at least you heard back from the guy! I offered the full $800 so if he didn't mind loosing $200 then more power to him. He did not even reply back at all so I really cannot understand people selling on Craigslist sometime for this very reason. He was offered more but settled for a lesser amount? Makes no sense to me. When a deal is this good, I cannot understand somebody even trying to get it for less! Once you do this, you open the door to loosing the item, but in this case offering the full amount got me nowhere! So go figure! I agree, I think the guy must have been not a little off, but way out there in my opinion.
