kirtley2012 wrote:Fantastic finds!, the first one looks a bit like the "shellophone", a very strange (and uncommon) off brand machine, really like that picture aswell!, great!

I wish the first one was a Shellophone! It's an Aeolion- Vocalion, one of their common(and low priced models) The veneer is curling on that one really bad. I may just take it apart for future use. People should never store old furniture in storage units, it's the kiss of death! Ed

Those Silvertone table models are nice and the original buyer got excellent value for their money. You're lucky the grille is intact- they have a nasty habit of delaminating.

Do you need a radio panel for that Victrola 215S "Radio Adaptable" machine? I believe that I still have Federal, a FADA, and Workrite receivers to fit these machines. If you are looking more projects, come up to my place in Michigan. I have a storage building to clean out...

My goodness! You are "faster than a speeding bullet"! And great results.

Thanks for the kind remarks! I've been known to be a little ADHD When it comes to re finishing furniture or phonographs! I just can't wait for the final results. As you see from the pics I lined these up and went from one to the other working on each one in turn, either glueing, staining, stripping, or finishing. I have finished the VV-215S and will have the Edison in the next day or so.
Will post pics later. Ed
